Neoregelia 'Donna' – ornamental bromeliad with colorful rosette and vibrant center

General description

Neoregelia 'Donna' is an ornamental bromeliad hybrid, valued for its compact rosette and intense leaf colors. The genus Neoregelia is part of the Bromeliaceae family and is native to the tropical forests of South America, where these plants grow epiphytically or terrestrially, in filtered light. 

The leaves are broad, arranged in a circular rosette, with a firm texture and bright colors that can vary from shades of green to tones of pink, red or purple in the central area. Like all Neoregelia, șDonna' forms a small water reservoir in the center of the rosette, from where it absorbs some of the moisture.
