Hoya sp. Aceh 'Jungle Queen' is a commercial form of hoya collected from the Aceh area (Sumatra), recognized for its very large, thin, smooth leaves, with strongly pronounced veins. The name indicates a Hoya sp., i.e. a species înot yet declaredî and not officially described in the botanical literature. I know of no documented botanical details about this species or its flowers; the description below is based strictly on the visible characteristics of the plant and general information about the genus Hoya.
The plant forms relatively thin vines, with fairly long internodes, on which develop ovate to elliptical leaves, much larger than most indoor hoyas. The leaves are medium to dark green, with a thick central vein and well-defined lateral veins, which create a a pronounced pattern on their surface. The texture is rather thin and flexible, not thick and succulent, which indicates a preference for higher ambient humidity and filtered light, similar to tropical forest conditions.
