Where does Hoya serpens come from?

Hoya serpens is native to the Himalayan mountains (India and Nepal) at 1500-2500 m altitudes, where it grows as an epiphyte on moss-covered trunks in cool, very humid climate.

Why does it need cooling at night?

In native mountain habitat, nighttime temperatures drop to 10-15°C. This day/night difference is crucial for triggering flowering. Without cooling, the plant may refuse to bloom.

What do the flowers look like?

Exceptional - translucent lemon-yellow (like beeswax) with greenish-white central corona. Delicate sweet evening fragrance. Umbels of 10-20 flowers, last 5-7 days.
