Hoya kastbergii is a rare tropical species native to Papua New Guinea. Its leaves are medium-sized, firm, smooth, and glossy, with a rich, intense green color. They are not hairy and have a clean, polished surface.
The flowers are cream-yellow to off-white with a pink or plum-tinted corona. Each bloom measures around 1–1.2 cm, forming compact spherical umbels. The corolla may have slight pubescence but not a visibly fuzzy texture. The fragrance is mild and sweet, especially noticeable in the evening.
