Neoregelia 'Freddie' belongs to the Bromeliaceae family and is a horticultural cultivar derived from species native to Brazil. The genus Neoregelia comprises over 120 species that grow as epiphytes or terrestrials in South American tropical forests. Bromeliads are related to the pineapple and are known for their ability to retain water in the center of the rosette, forming a natural mini "tank."

The leaves of Neoregelia 'Freddie' are arranged in a compact, symmetrical rosette. They are long, rigid, with finely serrated edges and a green base color, often with bands or spots of red, pink, or burgundy. During the flowering period, the leaves in the center of the rosette color intensely in red or pink, creating dramatic contrast. This coloration can last for months, making the plant exceptionally decorative.

Neoregelia 'Freddie' is a compact plant with a diameter of 20-35 cm. It prefers bright indirect light – more light intensifies the colors. The substrate should be well-draining and slightly acidic.
