Calathea roseopicta 'Dottie' is a dramatic cultivar with almost black leaves with intense pink outlines (the leaf outline follows its margin like precise drawing). Leaf reverse is burgundy-purple. The plant is one of the most spectacular calatheas, combining dramatic colors with "prayer" behavior (leaves close at night).

Why are leaves almost black?
The 'Dottie' cultivar has very high anthocyanin concentrations and intense chlorophyll, resulting in the very dark color contrasting spectacularly with pink outline.

Ai nevoie și de un ghiveci decorativ?

Recomand cu incredere. Am achizitionat planta in Iunie 2025. A venit fara probleme si, dupa o perioada scurta de acomodare, am mutat-o intr-un ghiveci mai mare. Desi initial a fost mica, s-a dezvoltat foarte mult si foarte frumos de atunci.
In prima poza apare planta dupa ce am primit-o, in ghiveciul mic de 6 cm, iar in a doua este aceeasi planta astazi.
