🌿 Anthurium crystallinum 'Silver Blush' — Silver Velvet with White Veins

Anthurium crystallinum 'Silver Blush' is a rare and spectacular variant of the famous Anthurium crystallinum, selected for its unique combination of velvety foliage with silver reflections and bright white veins. The name 'Silver Blush' perfectly describes the appearance — a 'silver blush' that transforms the foliage into a botanical work of art.

The leaves are large, cordate (heart-shaped), with soft velvety texture and absorbent matte surface. When they appear, new leaves have a delicate pinkish-coppery tint that gradually transforms into dark green with pronounced white veins and silver reflections on the mature background. It is one of the most impressive Anthurium varieties available.

At the offered size — Ø6cm pot — the plant is young, with 2-4 formed leaves. Requires high humidity and airy substrate to thrive. Premium collector plant for aroid enthusiasts.

What makes 'Silver Blush' unique?

Combination of silver reflections (from trichomes on velvety surface) with bright white veins on dark-green background. New leaves appear pinkish-coppery ('blush'), mature gradually. One of the most refined varieties of Anthurium crystallinum.

Why such high humidity?

MANDATORY 70-90%. Below 60%, leaves dry quickly, tips turn brown and plant develops problems. Solution: closed terrarium (best) OR permanent room humidifier. Misting alone is not sufficient.

Is it for beginners?

NO. The specific requirements (extreme humidity, specialized substrate, moderate light) make it a PREMIUM plant for experienced collectors. For beginners, we recommend Syngonium 'White Butterfly' or Monstera deliciosa.

Is it toxic?

Yes, moderately. Calcium oxalates. Ingestion symptoms: irritation, drooling, vomiting. Out of reach of children/pets. Gloves when repotting.

How to propagate?

By division (separate daughter rosettes with own roots) or seeds (rare, difficult). Leaf cuttings DO NOT work for anthurium.
