Kratiste is a decorative support for climbing plants, 50 cm long and 0.8 cm thick, designed to guide and support indoor plants into elegant vertical growth. Ideal for Hoya wayetii, Hoya guppyi, Hoya 'Mathilde', Philodendron and any other plant that needs structure to climb or keep its stems upright.
The support is made from a stable, moisture-resistant material — thin enough to be discreet in the pot but firm enough to bear mature stem weight. Suitable for pots from D10cm up to D20cm — insert into substrate at 5–8 cm depth for stability.
Length: 50 cm — sufficient for young plants and medium pots.
Thickness: 0.8 cm — discreet, won't ruin the plant's aesthetics.
Color: natural, blends into any decor.
Durability: tolerates frequent watering and substrate moisture without deformation.
Installation: insert 5–8 cm deep into substrate, near the plant base, close to the stem without damaging roots.
Kratiste is essential for climbing or trailing plants, allowing them to grow vertically instead of hanging over the pot edge or tangling with other plants. We recommend:
Insert the support into substrate immediately after repotting — to avoid disturbing developed roots. If the plant is already in the pot, insert the support carefully, a few centimeters from the stem base. Then gently tie the shoots to the support with plant-friendly clips or soft twine (don't use wire, which cuts stems).
As the plant grows, periodically readjust the ties. For fast-growing plants (like Hoya guppyi or Philodendron), you may need to replace Kratiste with a longer model after 1–2 years.
Kratiste requires no special maintenance — it is moisture-resistant and does not degrade in substrate. It can be reused after the plant grows and needs a bigger support, by washing with lukewarm water and air drying. Avoid forcing the support — it can break under sudden bends.
